The Williams Behaviour Book

I was nervous, of course.

Approaching the Vice Chairman of Ogilvy, one of the world's most successful advertising agencies, for a blurb for my new book was a little daunting.

But Rory Sutherland is an exceedingly generous and supportive person who told me he'd be delighted.

'Bri Williams is the Linnaeus of human behaviour', he wrote. 'The best taxonomy of the different approaches to understanding human behaviour I have ever seen'.

Wow!

But...please excuse my ignorance here...who or what is Linnaeus?

Today's an exciting day because I can finally share with you my latest book, The Williams Behaviour Book: 50 models to influence action.

You can order your copy today.

In The Williams Behaviour Book I’ve distilled 50 of my most important ideas.

And by 'distilled' I mean I've drawn visual models to explain behavioural science in an accessible, usable and fun way. After all, who doesn't like doodles?

There's a quick overview of the book for you in the video.

Who is Linnaeus?

But, about Linnaeus.

What, or rather who, is Linnaeus and why did Rory liken me to them?

Born in 1707, Carl Linnaeus was a Swedish botanist, zoologist, taxonomist, and physician, best known for creating the system we still use to name plants and animals.

In other words, Linnaeus was all about sense-making.

And it seems Rory has seen, in my work, an ability to help people make sense of behavioural science.

And not only make sense, but do so in a collective, unifying way.

That's extremely flattering.
